I will be honest with you,mechatronics is not really an option to consider unless you have interest in mechatronics!

At first,i want to tell about the placements of mechatronics: Actually,mechtronics placements in India is really tough unless you are very passionate about it.Mechatronics students are generally recruited by few instrumentation and controls/Electronics engineering and sometimes by automobile companies.

Now,coming to your question: Since you can see there are very less colleges that offer this course and due to its  low placements,mechatronics faculties are paid  low as compared to other branch faculties.
