Dear Anly,

This is a 3 year and full time course. Here you deal with several cases and perform tasks that need less medical training. It helps the docyors to focus on patient's test results. In early hours the life of a patient depends on the cardiac technologists. So, here you play a major role.

The scope of this field is auge. There are plenty of jobs available in government as well as private sector.  Some of the top recruiters in this field are Apollo, Nextgen, Manipal, private clinic, research, hospital administrator.

The average salary is around INR 2 to 20 lacs.

BSc. Cardiovascular Technology course help students in acquiring better management skills for different cardiac disorders. The course trains students in applying specialized occupational theory, practical and builds skills and enables them to understand concepts to work solely as a cardiovascular technologist and various other positions. Students learn to effectively communicate about technical issues, science and technology related to cardiovascular ailments.

In BSc. Cardiovascular Technology course, students learn how to apply science and technology to study of cardiovascular technology and are able to use latest advancements in field of CVT

How to Join the Team:

The one thing all cardiovascular technologists have in common is their training. Wherever this may lead someone on their individual career path, every technologist has to learn the basics.

Training programs teach students how to use imaging equipment and perform ultrasounds. Monitoring heart rates, explaining procedures to patients and reviewing their files are all important parts of the job, too. Students will also be expected to set up stress tests on the heart or perform non-invasive EKGs (electrocardiograms).

Job Prospects

The BLS reported that 52,000 employees were working as cardiovascular technologists in 2018 and predicts this figure will rise to 63,500 by 2024. That’s 11,500 more people employed in this profession, or a 22% increase in job opportunity.
