In order to secure admission in NITs through JEE Main , the good score for the same can be around 80-90 percentile . At the same time the candidate must feature among the top 15000 – 20000 rank to get admission.

The closing rank of each NIT varies from year to year. And accordingly the score also varies. However, I am providing here the percentile based om previous year data. If you belong general category then to get good branches in top NITs you will have to score 98+ percentile. You may get it on low score if you belong to reserved category (SC/ST).
