An Electronics and Communication Engineer, who has knowledge about the hardware field, and also has a grip over some computer languages, will be more successful during his career than another student who are proficient only in the software field.

The other advantage of this group is that students can easily drift from hardware field to software field if the familiar with some computer languages but the converse is not true. In the field of communication side, mainly in companies like BSNL, Nokia, and Motorola etc mainly students from ECE background are hired. Finally the famous ISRO recruits students mainly from ECE branch. ECE has nothing like recession, like software side as any company requires the students for a long run process.
