There are no fix marks required to pass in JEE Main as it depends on several factors including
1) the difficulty level of the exam,
2) number of candidates writing the exam 
3) the participated colleges, etc.

Actually there is no passing marks as such for JEE Main Exam. Your marks will determine your rank, which in turn will determine your college.

So if you want a good college, you need a good rank. For a good rank, you need a good score. Although, to be eligible for IIT and NIT you need to have 75% in your boards exam.

the cut off for the jee is varied for year to year based on number of students appeared and highest got in that year for reservations also cut off varies for OC may have more than 100 marks OBC upto 70-80 like that better target for 120 no problem will occure

There is actually no pass mark in JEE Main. Everyone including the ones getting zero or negative marks will be given ranks. The qualifying marks mentioned in JEE Main will be for appearing in JEE Advanced and for that you can refer to this article
