From building a ship to maintaining it. You will learn the concepts of Engines, Propulsion, Electrical Components used in ships, oil rigs and a lot more. In short a candidate in Marine engineering course learns to design, construct and maintain marine vassals.
Physical fitness is a must and the norms laid by DGS that have to be met to get entry into the Marine Engineering courses. The minimum height should be 150cms with correlated weight and proportionate chest with minimum 5-cm expansion. You should also pass a medical fitness test for sea service standards norms and with eyesight 6/6 with no colour blindness. You can also pursue a two-year post graduation if you have a passion for further studies and have done your graduation in Marine Engineering (BE).
