There is no prescribed percentage to appear in the examination. Candidates having passing marks can also apply. but you should have minimum of 50% marks scored in your 12th result.

Dear aspirant,

There's no minimum percentage requirement for appearing in JEE main exam however if you qualify JEE main, train for appearing for advanced exam must have to be in top 20 percentile of your respective board have a minimum of 75% marks in your 12th. Moreover almost all of the engineering college across India have some basic minimum percentage requirement for admission in their bachelor of Technology course and that percentage is above 60 for almost every College and 75 Plus for IIT and NIT and other Institute of prominence.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello,

The JEE main 2020 criteria is different for Institute like NIT, IIT and CFTI as compared to those who want to go for B.arch or B.Planning. For NIT, IIT and CFTI it has to be minimum 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or it should be in the top 20 percentile. For B.arch and B.Planning it has to be minimum 50% aggregate. For SC/ST it is 65% for NIT, IIT and CFTI. I am providing you the link to help further:

Hello Aniket

There is no specific percentage criteria for PCM only for giving Jee main.

In Class 12  you have to score overall 75 percent or be in top 20 percentile of your respective board.

Hope it helps.

For JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate that you need to score. You should have completed your 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates appearing for their 12th exams also can appear for JEE Mains. But the minimum aggregate criteria is applicable for JEE Advanced and not for Mains. To be eligible for JEE Advanced, you should qualify in JEE Mains. JEE Advanced is for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. So for being eligible for JEE Advanced for admission to these premiere Institutions, you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 75%. It is 75% if you belong to General Category and 65% if you belong to SC/ST. For more information, please visit our page: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-eligibility-criteria
