Hi there,
The placement in IIM's are always decent. The position of the graduates depends on the fields they want to join. There are various job roles and streams on which a student can apply for. Directly becoming a VP/ AVP is not possible since for that the graduates must have those skills. Being from a management institute, the roles are majorly on the management sector, those are dependent upon the interest of the candidate and the number of offers placed for the recruitment.
Generally, in E-commerce companies such as Flipkart, Amazon the roles are Category manager, Assistant product manager, Vendor manager etc whereas in Consulting companies, the graduates mostly joined as Junior/ senior associate or analysts.
Hope this will you !
Still in case of any doubt, kindly revert here,
Thank you:)
Hello,
The positions that IIM grads are offered depends on the sector they are going.
For example, in FMCG you join as management trainee. After the initial training, most likely you will be Area Sales Manager (if you are in sales) or Assistant Brand Manager ( If you are in marketing).
E-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon etc. recruits for a variety of roles like Category Manager, Product Manager, Assistant Product Manager ( in case you do not have relevant work experience) Vendor Manager etc.
In consulting companies , you join mostly as Junior/Senior Associate or sometimes Analyst depending upon the company.
In investment banking and markets , you join again as Analyst/Associate.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
