If you know coding then you will get a lot of opportunities along with it. Or you can pursue your masters and then phd. If you do M. Sc in Physics, then you have to do your masters and then pursue phd. Both of the subjects are taught well in all the iits. The choice is yours.

Both have its own scope in their respective fields.And since you are doing your course from iits, your degree holds more value.Both are difficult,both are competitive.You can find the scope of these both in teaching,industries,it fields etc.What matters at the end is how much you are haply and satisified with your job.So choose the field that you are interested in and enjoy it instead of choosing something that you are not interested in.

It is totally depends upon your choice or in that subject you have deep knowledge and interest so that you can score good marks in that subject and then you will become an expert of that field.
