Which degree you select doesnt matter as for UPSC exams only graduation is required.Only thing which is important is dedication and consistency. So just select the course which would be easy for you to handle and provide you the best time for proper  preparation. And if you wont get selected  you should have a  backup plan which will be depend on which field you select  for graduation.

All the best

Select the field you are comfortable with.Have a look at the topics in each field and compare with the topics included in UPSC syllabus.Arts and science are completely different fields so find your interest and select the field which can provide time for preparation. You are a science student and still comfortable with arts then i would suggest take  Arts and select the course which will be common in BA as well as in UPSC syllabus.good luck
