As you mentioned that the government job is the need of the hour so I would suggest you to go for it if you have any offer or you are ready to write any government exam for job. Also, while doing the government job you can study alongside.  You can prefer open degree from any recognized colleges or institutions, then you can continue your studies while doing the job. No doubt, it will become hectic but hard work pays off!
