Hello Garima

If you want to become a female army officer, then you can choose any stream(Science, Commerce and Arts). But for the Army Technical Entry Scheme, a B.Tech/B.E. degree is required, while for CDS(Combined Defence Services) and NDA(National Defence Academy), exams are open for all stream students.

For 12th Class passed students

  • NDA(National Defence Academy): You can apply for the Army wing after 12th  with any stream. But for the Navy and Air Force wing, a science stream is required with PCM(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
  • Technical entry: You need a B.Tech/B.E. degree to be eligible.

After Graduation

  • CDS(Combined Defence Services) exam - You are eligible to give this exam after completing graduation.
  • SSC(Short Service Commission) - You can apply for it after completing a B.Tech/B.E. degree.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
