After qualifying the exam you have to go through following steps:

1. JoSAA Counseling : Register for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling. This is the centralized counseling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs. State Counseling : Participate in state-specific counseling processes if you're interested in state engineering colleges.
2. Choice Filling : Fill in your preferred colleges and courses during the counseling process. Be strategic—prioritize colleges and courses based on your interest, rank, and cutoff trends.
3. Mock Allotment : JoSAA conducts mock allotment rounds to give you an idea of the colleges you might get. Use this to adjust your preferences if needed.
4. Prepare Documents : Gather all necessary documents like your JEE Mains scorecard, 12th pass certificate/marksheet, identity proof, category certificate (if applicable), and other required documents.
5. Verification Process : Attend the document verification process as per the schedule. Ensure all your documents are in order to avoid any last-minute hiccups.
6. Seat Allotment Rounds : JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allotment. If you get a seat, you can either accept it and proceed with the admission process or participate in further rounds for better options.
7. Acceptance and Reporting : Once you accept a seat, report to the allotted institute for admission. Pay the admission fees and complete the formalities.
