Hi

Most of the institutes conduct their own entrance test to shortlist candidates for admissions. Each of the institutes has different test format, however, some sections are generic. The section that you can expect questions on mostly are,

  • General knowledge: which covers questions on the latest news, happenings around the world, history, generally current affairs

  • English: thsi section mainly overs questions related to the language. It assesses candidates knowledge about the language, its usage, basic grammar, reading capabilities etc.

  • Media Aptitude: this covers questions to assess candidates aptitude and knowledge related to media

  • Reasoning or Analytical skills

  • Subjective questions: some entrance exams also have the subjective section where candidates have to write about a topic. This assesses candidates writing skills, structural knowledge, language skills, and ability to write on a topic.

To prepare read newspapers, practise from reasoning books, learn 10 new words daily to improvise vocabulary.

All the best
