Relevant work experience is always better than non-relevant work experience

Corporate Finance or Financial consulting are equally relevant. Ofcourse, back office functions that are completely non-related to finance wont help either.

And a job in a bpo sector can be very helpful since a good financial sector BPO can be really good for Finance MBA  even a reputed BPO in procurement sector can be good.
