The minimal qualifying percentage needed by students to be eligible for JEE Advanced is the JEE Main Cut off 2024. General will have an estimated JEE Main Cutoff of 89+, EWS of 78+, OBC of 74+, SC of 44+, and PwD of 0.11+ in 2024. Along with the announcement of JEE Main, NTA also discloses the JEE Mains cutoff.

In order to be considered for admission to NITs through JEE Main, applicants should strive for a rank that is less than 30,000, or around 97 percentile. This necessary percentile, however, may vary depending on the category. For admission to NIT, candidates in the OBC/EWS category must have a percentile of less than 90.

NIT requires 95–97 percentile in JEE Mains for students in the general category, according to analysis from the previous year. In JEE Mains for NITs, OBC/EWS applicants need to score 85–90 percentile, while SC/ST candidates need to get 65–70 percentile.
