Shubham ,percentile score tells how you have performed in comparison to all other students who appeared for the main exam. The formula to calculate percentile score is as

Percentile score of a candidate= 100*( number of candidates who secured actual score EQUAL TO OR LESS then the candidate)/(Total number of candidates who appeared in that session) .

Percentile Expected Rank

Hello Aspirant,

As of now the new result declaration scheme was adopted for JEE-Main by National Testing Agency and according to this it is little bit difficult to predict exact marks from percentile but yes we can predict our rank from the formula given below :-

(100-your percentile)*869010/100

where 869010 is the number of candidates appeared for JEE-Main January session, for September session you can also calculate by just replacing the numbers.

On the basis of predicted ranks an idea giving table has been made which you can access from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

You can also use JEE-Main College Predictor Tool to predict your college, Link for the same is given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
