The cutoff marks for the SC category in BA English major vary by university and state. In most government and reputed autonomous colleges, the SC category cutoffs are usually 5 to 10 percent lower than the General category. For example, if the General cutoff was around 85% , then the SC cutoff ranged between 75% to 80% .

In states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Delhi, SC students were able to secure BA English seats with marks in the range of 60% to 75% , depending on the college’s demand and reputation. In less competitive colleges, the cutoff could go as low as 55% to 60% .

You are advised to check the previous year admission list of your preferred college or university for exact data, as cutoffs can differ widely from one institution to another.
