CUSAT CAT is an entrance exam conducted exclusively for 3 campuses - School of Engineering (SOE), Cochin University College of Engineering,Kuttanad (CUCEK) and Lakeside Campus. This Common Admission Test (CAT) is organised by the Cochin University, solely for the purpose of admitting students into Cochin University of Science And Technology.CUSAT CAT is conducted for admission to the following under graduate courses:

B.Tech Courses/5 Yr. M.Sc Photonics, Integrated MSc (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics), B Voc in Business Process and Data Analytics, Five year B.Com. LL.B (Hons.), Five year B.B.A. LL.B

Rank depends on CAT score, number of students or candidates who have attempted the test, difficulty level and number of seats available. We cannot predict rank because highest mark obtained is unknown. As you have given only the CAT score, I would suggest you not to rely on previous years cut offs. This years cut offs may vary very much compared to last year. Most of the candidates who get very good ranks (below 5000) will not join CUSAT, as they can easily secure admission to IITs, NITs or even other Government colleges in Kerala. CUSAT CAT gives more importance to mathematics, hence it is very easy to crack that exam if you are proficient in it.

Total 250 questions are asked, with a maximum of 750 marks. I had attempted CUSAT CAT last year and out of 17237 candidates who applied, 11645 had qualified. As you are from general category, I would suggest that you should get a rank below 6000 to get admission into any course in CUCEK. For SOE, below 4000 rank is needed to get into a good stream of your own choosing.
