According to last year analysis if you have got marks in the range of 40-50 your rank may be between 13000 to 15000 which may be an opportunity to get into it. But other factors like the number of applications and rank range may differ due to the difficulty level of the exam.
I think 45-50 is safe to easily get into and avoid suffering in the closing rank border.
