DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic acid is a material that is self replicating, meaning it makes its own copies over time. It's present in nearly all living organisms and is the main component of chromosomes. It carries genetic information. It's a long change of molecules called nucleotides that tell each cell what proteins to make. A nucleotide is made up of sugar and phosphate molecule.

Hope this helped.
