Dear Aspirant, path to JEE is what one makes it or wants to make it. One has to define his own journey to make it to their desired destination. Path through JEE to your desired college is definitely not easy , but also it isn't that difficult how it's hyped.While going through these 2years of journey you'll learn various things about yourself.Through these years one need to acquire various skills with academics , like time management, strategising & planning, organising. Also one needs to identify himself/herself what his strengths & weaknesses are and plan accordingly. Patience is also one important factor, especially for JEE advanced. JEE is not just a test of 2 years of syllabus which you learn , but is the test your patience, persistence, consistency and how mentally prepared you are.
So one needs to strengthen his/her mind also during these 2 years.
For syllabus : see what you strengths and weaknesses are (subjectwise) , keep your good subjects consistent and try to give attention to weak subjects as required , make a plan to give how much time to each & every subject on daily as well as weekly basis.
Also one thing is you should know which question to attempt and which to not, for that you need great understanding of which topics you know well and how you do it.
Most importantly
Practice ! Practice ! Practice!
Do as many numericals as you can daily , set daily goals for each subject.Set goals that are practical, don't over do anything.
