For colleges, news reports claimed that after Diwali, a decision on opening campuses will be made. According to Uday Samant, Minister of Higher and Technical Education, post-Diwali chief ministers and vice-chancellors will make decisions for college students. That being said, he stated not all VCs are in favour of physical classes being resumed.
