Hi Gayatri, you can address me as Ma'am.

The portion for NEET, is the CBSE syllabus, encompassing Chemistry, physics, botony and Zoology. Each subject has 45 marks each making a total of 180 multiple choice questions. Neet has negative marking for every right answer you get +4 and for every wrong answer you get -1. The portion remains the same as what you studied for your 11th and 12th.

Yes NCERT are one of the best books available. The concepts and understanding is well published.

There are also another few which you could refer to,
For biology - Trueman's, Dinesh, Pradeep's publication.

For Physics- H.C.Verma, D.C Pandey,

For Chemkstry- O.P. Tandon, Morrison and Boyd for organic chemistry, Dinesh.

For general knowledge refer magazines and subscribe newspaper.

I would advice you to not buy all the mentioned books but rather refer them and choose the best and keep doing revision.
