When lactic acid is produced during respiration in lack of O2, Where does it go??? What happens to it...???? it gets stored somewhere or moves out of the body???? And if it moves out of the body.... how this happens???

Hello Riya

Lactic acid is produced due to anaerobic respiration. Glucose molecules are halved to lactic acid molecules due to lack of O2. The growth of lactic acid is carried away in the bloodstream. This converts the lactic acid to carbon-dioxide (CO2) and water vapors, which are both exhaled from the body.

If lactic acid in the bloodstream rises faster than normal pH buffers of the body, the acids, bases and salts that help maintaining natural pH level can neutralize them. This may cause condition called lactic acidosis, but is not likely to happen in a normal body.
