I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established in 1997 as Punjab Technical University (PTU) under the Punjab Technical University Act. The university is located in Kapurthala, Punjab, India. It was renamed in 2013 in honor of the former Prime Minister of India, Inder Kumar Gujral.
