Kasturba Medical College Manipal was established in 1953 and is a part of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (formerly known as Manipal University). The National Medical Council of India, the General Medical Council of Great Britain, the Malaysian Medical Council, and the Australian Medical Council all grant recognition to KMC Manipal.
