The Assam Science and Technology University had announced the category-wise Assam CEE 2018 merit list on May 10, 2018. Admission to B.Tech courses at participating institutes will be based on the Assam CEE 2018 merit list. For preparing the merit list of Assam CEE 2018, the marks obtained by candidates in the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in the Assam CEE were taken into account. In case two or more candidates score the same marks, the tie was broken based on some set guidelines, which are explained in detail below. During counselling, the rank of the candidate in the Assam CEE 2018 merit list, along with course and institute preference, will be considered for seat allotment. It must also be noted that only those candidates who meet the minimum cutoff determined by the competent authority will be listed on the Assam CEE merit list 2018.

• The Assam CEE merit list 2018 was category-specific. In case of candidates belonging to reserved categories, they may have appeared in more than one category provided they the met the corresponding cutoffs

• Candidates who were listed in the Assam CEE 2018 merit list are eligible to participate in counselling. To participate in Assam CEE 2018 counselling, such shortlisted candidates will have to fill form B.

• Allotment of seats during counselling will be purely based on the merit rank of the candidate. Candidates who are ranked higher in the Assam CEE merit list 2018 will be given higher preference over lower ranked candidates
