If you are fresher then it's not very exciting to attend online classes as you might have been thinking about life styles of NITs and all those fun stuff after joining institute.

Anyway your safety comes first. As far as I see new corona cases are increasing everyday and have no idea when this is going to be under control. And according to the situation of India, I don't think, you are going to have offline classes in near future . Maybe you should be happy with online classes and hope everything comes to normal ASAP to have offline classes.
