Now, this also matters that the respective state government allows the opening of colleges or not. The COVID 19 pandemic situation in the area where the IIT/NIT is located matters the most and will be the deciding factor that whether they will open or not. See, as of now, online classes are going on for the old students so IITs/NITs may adapt the online way of learning for the first year also. So, you do not panic as soon as the vaccine will come, these educational institutions will be opened. So, just wait and hope for the best.
