NEET counselling process is conducted by DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) on behalf of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) for filling seats under 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and for filling seats in Central & Deemed universities, and by the respective state governments for filling seats under 85% state quota in state medical/dental colleges (both government and private).

The counselling schedule is published by the respective counselling conducting authorities after the declaration of NEET result/All India Ranks (AIRs). NEET counselling process is usually conducted in two rounds. MCC releases the counselling schedule of AIQ in the end of the month of June. Registration for first round of AIQ counselling and its seat allotment is completed in the month of July and second round of counselling process usually begins in the month of August. For seats falling under 85% state quota, qualified candidates of NEET exam can check the official website of their respective NEET state counselling authorities in order to find their counselling schedules and register themselves for state quota counselling. 

It is expected that NEET counselling will start tentatively from Second week of June 2018.

It is expected that NEET 2018 Application form will be out from last week of January 2018.
