Greetings,

First I would like to provide you with some information that there are various entrance exams that you can register for based on your ability to spend on the application fee which could cost nearly 1500 or more. CAT, MAT, CMAT(now NIT), GMAT , ATMA, XAT are the main entrance exam for various Indian Institute of tourism and travel management and prestigious private colleges . The syllabus for all these exams are quite similar  which include reasoning (both analytical and logical ),English language based aptitude section( essay ,error based questions etc ) , numerical ability or quantitative section( algorithms and mathematics questions) and general awareness . I would advise you to focus your attention on enrolling into one of the IITTM ( best is IITTM Gwalior) because they provide various scholarships, facilities and are in fact cheaper than other private colleges if money is an issue but if it is not then there are various private colleges which provide expertise in this course and should be selected based on the establish year, on campus placements and exposure provided . Christ Bangalore and Amity Noida are the best as far as travel and tourism management is concerned and if you want easiest process of admission  then approach private colleges which have low eligibility requirement . For the preparation of entrance exam I would suggest that you should  find a good coaching classes nearby to help you understand the concepts  and take help from previous years paper of various other entrance exams like CLAT , SSC etc .Your main focus should be to find and analyse logical reasoning ,English , quantitative section from these papers because it will help you to practice regularly which is must needed to score high . A constant regularity should be maintained for English section ;read editorials from Indian Express or The Hindu ;to  score in quantitative  section first try clearing  your doubts and take help of RD or RS Sharma of 9th and 10th standard, for genral awareness try Competition In Focus magazine's weekly edition and download 1 or 2 general awareness app , for logical reasoning try solving sudoku and SSC papers which have got loads of good questions from this section, for analytical resoning purchase MK Pandey's analytical reasoning .

You can also study abroad which is advisable because of the massive amount of courses they provide and when you are considering to take up a field like travel and tourism it is better to study from abroad because India universities are still developing and you might not find worthy placements because of the packages offered after spending so much on your education.  Moreover the giant companies providing huge packages is more interested in hiring people who have studied abroad because of the kind of exposure they have got . I know it can be expensive to study abroad but part time jobs , scholarships can help. Even if you look at the fee structure of most of the private colleges who are providing  this course charges you 2 lakh or more per year and the course can vary from 2-3 years depending on colleges and the course selected .

Also you can go for diploma courses and can intern or work under a reputed hotel to gain experience and knowledge .

Contact me for any further queries and feel free to ask any further doubts ,I will  always be   happy to help you out anytime.
