Dear Maneka,

You have to either get 75% in your cbse 12th exam or you have to get category wise top 20 percentile which is equal to 431/500 which is 86%. 

Minimum is 75% or category wise 86%

Minimum of the two criteria is required. Since in this case 75% is lower than the top 20 percentile i.e. 86%  you will be needed to just qualify the 75% criteria. So a student having 76% marks in class 12 will also eligible for college of JEE Mais  ehich are under JOSAA and for other government colleges the minimum criteria is generally lower( around 65%) depend8ng upon the college for whoch you are applying.

minimum of the two is considered while checking the eligibility since most of the time 75% is lower it is considered as the soul eligibility criteria for NITs,IITs, and CFTs.
