Dear Sinchana,

No, it is not compulsory to write ICAR exam. But if you write the exam it would increase your chance to get a BSc agriculture seat easily as 40% seats are reserved for this ICAR exam rankings. Even if you don’t write the exam you would still get the seat based on KCET ranking.
