Best NITs for CSE are the top ones - NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Rourkela, VNIT Nagpur, MNNIT Allahabad, MANIT Bhopal. Other NIT CSE are also good. But if you really want to join CSE at good NITs, don't join the North-East NITs, they ain't woth it.

For CS I feel NIT warangal, NIT Trichy, MNNIT ALlahabad , NIT suratkal are good. NIT trichy especially has computer club which is really amazing if you want to learn. MNNIT is good as well as there is a computer club started by the students where the senior students teach the juniors on weekend classes. They usually discuss and teach topics that are generally not in the curriculum or are just skimmed through. There are also weekend coding contests hosted by the computer club where you will be provided problems. You have to come up with a solution in code. The intent is obviously not to win but to learn. Everyone wins. 

In the end I would like to stress upon the fact that if you want to learn you need to do everything on your own. You and your friends can learn together and to be with brilliant people you need to be in one of the top NITs.
