Hai there!

The most preferred books for NEET and AIIMS preparation are listed below:

PHYSICS

Physics is considered as one of the most important and difficult subjects. Many students preparing for NEET & AIIMS often feel difficulty in this subject. This is because one needs to have a clear understanding of the various concepts of Mathematics while solving numerical problems and questions based on graphs. Here some of the best books recommended by toppers of NEET and AIIMS.

CHEMISTRY

The syllabus of Chemistry subject is vast and basically has three major branches i.e. Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry & Inorganic Chemistry. NCERT Textbooks are considered as one of the most important books for the preparation of this subject. One should first study NCERT Textbooks and then practice with NCERT At Your Fingertips. If students still get time then they can follow other reference books recommended by NEET Toppers or AIIMS Toppers.

BIOLOGY

PREVIOUS YEARS QUESTION PAPERS

Previous years’ papers are the most important resource for the preparation of NEET& AIIMS. Generally, the same questions are not repeated in these entrance exams, but, there are some important concepts from which questions have been frequently asked, year after year.

Students preparing for NEET & AIIMS should first study NCERT (Textbooks & Exemplar), followed by Previous Years Papers (https://amzn.to/2YG81gz) & NCERT At Your Fingertips (NEET) Physics, Chemistry, Biology (https://amzn.to/2YDMsgB) . If they still get time then they should refer to other reference books given above.

Hard work never fails!

Work smart and hard!

Thank you.

Hi you have plenty of time, and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare for both NEET As well as AIIMS,

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology-aiims doesnt cover most part from ncert like how neet does, in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can

General knowledge and current affairs(AIIMS ONLY)- read newspapers regularly, keep yourself updated always, use year books, they ll help you alot

Hi Jaison!

Throughout the two years of my preparation:

  • I had focus on obtaining a thorough understanding of the basic concepts, so I studied the NCERT textbooks for this.
  • I had to learn how to apply these concepts, so the reference books I used are: Pradeep’s Objective for Physics and Chemistry and Dinesh’s Objective for Biology.

Towards the end of my preparation, I practiced papers in a mock exam format to develop time management skills and strategies to crack the exam.

Hope this answers your question!

Arika (State Head @ Careers360)

Hey Jaison,

For NEET, I focused on my NCERT books and practised a lot of questions and answered MOCK tests. According to me, NCERT books are enough along with a question bank series, preferably with explanations.

All the very Best! Study Well!

Ncert Books must be strictly followed at this point of time.

For Neet biology ncert must be Read line by line as about 75-80 questions every year are asked from Ncert only.

For Chemistry and physics,

Clear your all basic concept, no need to go for lengthy and tough questions. Questions which clears your concept. Questions based on formula can be helpful. For Inorganic Chemistry, specifically follow Ncert notes as most of questions can be easily covered. Ncert On finger tips by MTG contains some good set of questions. This can surely help one to revise topics.

Do practice last year's questions papers. They helps one to know the pattern and type of questions been asked.

NCERT textbooks are a must. As the basic frame work of NEET is NCERT based. Also i would emphasize on the fact that it is important to clear your concepts. Use any good standard NEET UG mcq bookfor practise. I hope this helps.

if you have any doubts feel free to contact me.

I would recommend you to only study, ncert textbook for biology , and for phydics and chemistry go for ncert textbooks if you are giving aiims ug entrance exam,

However for neet ug ncert textbook for physics and chemistry is not needed, just stick on your notes you have made in coaching, and practise previous year question papers and numericals.

Revise on regular basis .

Good luck..
