Don't worry about placement just follow whichever branch you want to study .

Every branch has yit's own pros and cons but if you look overall a salary of 75 thousand can be an easy deal for COMPUTER AND INFORMATION dept.Now in case of electronics and communication it is also an easy job but in other branches it becomes college dependent like in IIT's ,NIT's, DTU and NSIT you can easily get a job worth 75 thousand from nearly all branches. 

And also see into the fact that good salary no where means that a good and contented life so studyfor knowledge and not salary.

The most demanding branch of engineering with highest paid salary is Computer science engineering and technology and Information technology.

I can tell you this with confidence because currently I am persuing b.tech only and this question is of my field only
