Hello,

Even though within the same broad field, CSE and IT is a turning point to entirely different fields of computing. Computer Science and Engineering is a field of engineering that studies the basics of computing, software engineering, programming etc. Information Technology deals with processing of data, its storage, software development with regard to database for managing data.

According to me CSE deals with more of the computer science. Also some colleges offer specialization in CSE like software development or robotics. IT deals mainly with Information and its relative themes only. If you are not interested in going to information technology you can choose CSE. You can also go through the syllabus to analyze whether you can study the course work or not.

Hi Roshani, Based upon the branch only, we can never compare, as every branch has their own area of oppurtunities and future placements. but yes, if you are really interested in coding and languages including softwares to study more widely, you must go for CSE rather than IT.

The choice is all yours. All the best.
