Both are great branch to start with if you want to end up working in the IT industry.

ECE will teach you signal processing and advanced fourier analysis,digital electronics,vlsi,analog and digital communication.

CSE will teach you subjects like data structure, algorithm,programming which will help you to develop your own softwares and in many other fields like web development,graphics,etc.
You should choose a field according to your own interests.
