HELLO ANANT SAURABH

Deen dyal upadhyay college is one of best off-campus college of Delhi university.

1. It is placed in top 10 best science college of du.

2. Newly built campus with huge building , infact it can beat many best private

colleges in terms architecture.

3. Located in dwarka which is relatevly less multitudinous place in  delhi

Infrastructure:

Students are quite pleased with the infrastructure DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY

College has to offer, but while it does serve the purpose quite efficiently, there’s

nothing too great about it. Equipments in laboratories don’t work sometimes,

nothing apart from the principal’s cabin is air-conditioned, and there’s no internet

access for students. Fortunately, the classrooms are well-ventilated, the library is

quite spacious and well-stocked, and the ground is massive!

Courses Offered under University of Delhi:

 BA Programme & BA (Hons) in Economics, English, Geography, Hindi,

History, Political Science

 BCom & BCom (Hons)

 B.Sc in Applied Physical Sciences (Computer Science), Life Science, Physical

Science

 B.Sc (Hons) in Botany, Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Zoology

Additionally BA (Hons) English & Political Science, BA Programme, BCom and

BCom (Hons) are offered in the Evening College

Faculty:

The Science faculty is comparatively better than the Commerce faculty, but neither

are out-of-the-world or extraordinary. The Economics faculty is singled out for

special praise by the students, but they also mention the fact that some professors at

DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY College are less qualified. Few professors have ego

issues, and you dare not complain about them, or you’re sure to get into big big

trouble. Most professors are quite nice, but then there are a few who can’t really

speak English to save their lives. And of course, you have the highly experienced

professors who are too senior to even stand.

Attendance:

The college is pretty strict when it comes to attendance. Students are expected to

maintain at least 67%, failing which they are made to sign a bond promising they’ll

make up for it. If attendance falls below 60% in spite of the promises, students aren’t

allowed to take the exams. You can try your luck sweet-talking the professors though

– some are nice (read ‘gullible’) enough to let you get away.

Crowd:

DDUC has got a decent crowd...neither too hi-fi...nor too stupid..asking about

atmosphere It's good...teachers are supporting.....seniors end up as your best friends

....classmates won't leave your side...it's like you go to a random person and ask for

help here...they won't deny you.

Frankly every DU college has a mixed crowd. You get to know a variety of people. It's

finally your behaviour which decides how happening your life will turn here.

Canteen:

Not great. Decreasing quality coupled with increasing prices means that students are

slightly put off by the canteen, in spite of the food being quite good, actually. The

Chole Bhature, Spring Roll, and Chowmein (or Chomin, as it’s spelt in Delhi) are to

die for. However, it gets pretty crowded sometimes, so you’d had best catch your

seats on time.

Festivals:

The college hosts their own fest called 'Rajnigandha', which is rather peculiar

because the college itself doesn’t take part in it. They do, however, take active part in

the Delhi University festival.

Placements:

The placement scenario is not that good for science and mathematics department.

Though good companies show up for recruitment, but most of them want Bcom or

Economics hons graduates. Also the science and mathematics departments do not

show much interest in helping to get their students placed. However that is not the

case if you join some other course. I have seen teachers greatly encouraging their

students to go ahead and participate

In the end what matters is how you utilize your three years. Delhi University

provides a great exposure and you should take hold of every opportunity you get to

get out and see the world. Yes classes are very important and should be taken

seriously but never ignore the importance of extra curricular activities.

HOPE IT HELPS

ALL THE BEST

HELLO ANANT SAURABH!

SEE BOTH THE COLLEGES ARE GOOD. BUT AS SUCH DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAYA COLLEGE IS MORE BETTER AS IT'S INFRASTRUCTURE IS JUST ON AN IMPROBALE LEVEL TO REACH FOR ANY OTHER DELHI UNIVERSITY.

DDUC ALSO HOLDS A GOOD CONTROL IN ACADEMICS TOO AND YOU HAVE ENOUGH SOCITIES TO BE A PART OF.

ALL THE BEST.

Hey,

one year before i was in the same situation choosing between these two colleges for the same course bcom honours. I would say dyal singh college is a better college. I choosed this college after getting a lot of information. dyal singh has the best location it is located on Lodhi Road near khan market and has metro connectivity too. Also it is a south campus college so you get to enjoy the canpus life whereas deen dyal is an off campus college. Also the college society of dyal singh are much beeter specially the commerce department of this college is most famous. Deen dyal is also a good college but on comparing it has only one thing better than dyal singh that is it’s infrastructure and building as the college is newly built. So choose accordingly.
