Hi,

You should be able to get NIT patna as it is your home state. Try applying to the North eastern Nits if you are interested in NITs.

Hey,
I cannot decide which branch will be best for you, it all depends on your interests. Try getting career counselling, there are tests which can help you find out what you should pursue.
Also go through the syllabus of all the branches of engineering, then see which branch interests you the most. You should so some research on your own, because this is the stream that you will study and then work on for life. I personally am in NIT Warangal and i could have easily gotten mechanical or ECE but I took chemical because I was interested in it.
