Hii Amit,

There are many etrance examinations are held of central level as weli as of state level for Engineering.

but if you wnat to take admission in Top Engineering colleges of India ,then you will have to appear in JEE main and JEE advance.

 JEE main helds twice a year ane in January and another is in April.

forms are released in December and March.

If you crack JEE main then you wll be eligible to Appear in JEE advance other wise you can not give JEE advance.

and if your rank in JEE main will be very good then you can get a NIT.

In June your JEE Advance result will be announced and if your rank croses the cutoff rank of any IIT,then you can get admission in IIT.

To get the good college of engineering for that you should give the jee mains exam so that you can get into the iiit or NIT if you got the good ranking and if you qualified the jee mains there is an option to get IIT as well so please focus on this exam so that you can get number 1 college like IIT bombay,  IIT kharagpur and so on based on your score ans also other state level entrance exams aslo there for exam for Karnataka KCET and for A P emcet , etc
