BDes is 4 years and BArch is 5 years. BArch involves a lot of field exercises and you would be required throughout your life to be in the field. Not so in BDes. BArch requires substantial inputs of mathematics, a bit of physics and chemistry as you’ll be dealing with structures and calculations. Not so in BDes. Also, both the curses offer almost equal placement opportunities (depending on the college), both has wide scope in future.

At the end, it depends on you, if your Aptitude is more technical than creative, then you must opt b. Arch otherwise go for B. Des.
