Aerospace engineering is a good choice to become an astronaut but you should join Indian Air Force with Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering as a degree choice because a 1000 hour in jet aircraft is highly desirable for becoming an astronaut and and any agency likes to choose a candidate who has experience in Air force rather than a commercial pilot so joining IAF will be a fast way for you to become an astronaut
