Graduation, post graduation and PhD in the field of life sciences. During PhD do good research, attend biology conference/seminars, interact with scientists and other professors, and publish research articles. This is the minimum to become a lecturer/assistant professor.

After that, keep doing good research and teaching the UG/PG students, and with hard work and dedication, you will become a Professor of life science.To become a professor of biology one needs to have a PhD in related discipline of biology. e.g if an aspirant is keen to become a professor of biochemistry she has to take up admission in BSc Biochemistry followed by MSc and PhD.
