Government Engineering College, Karad ia a good engineering college. Infrastructure wise and placement wise it is all good. Talking of placements , the highest package of last year was around 14 lakhs per annum. The average salary package is around 3.5 lakhs per annum. And the packages of branches like ECE, IT are also very nice here.

Now talking about the govt. colleges which provide highest packages in CSE branch are IIT's and NIT's. In old IIT's like IIT Delhi , IIT Bombay, IIT Madras the package for CSE branch reaches upto crores . And also in NIT's the package are in many lakhs per year.
