Packages are good if you know about your choice of interest well enough. Though CSE, electrical, chemical have good placements.

And no, btech courses are not tough.

All the engineering branches are good. It all depends on your interest and skills.

It is recommended that you should choose the branch as per your interest so you don't find it tough and you can perform good.

If we compare the branches then CSE is the top most branch in engineering which provides good scope in terms of jobs and placements and maximum package are drawn by CSE students and it is easy as well as compare to others.

You should focus on to get top colleges in engineering so that you can get good teaching and placements.
