The best newspaper when it comes to any competitive exams is The Hindu, but you can also go for 'The Indian Express,it's equally good, it's just that for beginners it's a bit difficult to understand The Hindu because of the kind of language and vocabulary used are by some prolific writers with great qualifications, getting used to The Hindu takes times, to be able to grasp the fundamentals becomes easy with regular reading.

Hello Nandini,

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a test of reasoning and aptitude. The examination consists of five sections: General English/Verbal Ability, Elementary Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Legal Aptitude. While reading newspapers have a lot of benefits in the context of any competitive exam, for CLAT, it’s nothing short of a boost.

Any National English Newspaper, especially the likes of The Hindu or The Times Of India is considered as a great preparatory tool. The language used in The Hindu is quite professional but is a great source of study material for competitive examinations. The lucid and simple language used in The Times Of India is beneficial for beginners.

One is advised to read the Editorial and topics pertaining to Important Events. Reading editorials will prove helpful in cracking questions related to passages, which are tone-specific while newsfeed about important events helps to acquire knowledge about recent happenings.

Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!

Regards
