Hi Abhijit, there are some or rather many IIMs which does not give importance to the academic scores much. One of the top IIM which does not give much weightage to it is IIM Ahmedabad. The academic weightage is very less here compared to others. Next is IIM Calcutta which gives a slightly higher weightage than IIM Ahmedabad but comparatively less. Most of the new IIMs also dont give much weightage to the academic score and they give weightage only to the CAT scores. Only IIMs like Bangalore, Indore, Kanpur, Kozhikode give weightage more to academics.

Your past record in academics really matters alot in any of the iims because this is one of the criteria to judge a students caliber and knowledge plus they carry certain percent of points along the final score of the admission process. So minimum 80 percent through out your past academics is must to expect a call at 98 percentile from the top 3 IIMs.
