BSc in computer science and BCA both are 3 year courses. You can apply in BSc only if you are a Science student. But you can apply for BCA even if you belong to Science or commerce stream.

Specifically speaking, BSc. in computer science is more like a theoretical course but BCA is more about practical knowledge. From the job point of view, BCA is preferable after which you can do MCA to widen your job opportunities.
